The Bemidji Solar Co-op participants selected Wolf Track Energy to be the group’s installer through an open and competitive bidding process. The non-profit Solar United Neighbor’s goal is to make solar energy more mainstream, and they help by forming bulk purchase groups in communities so everyone participating can get one-on-one assistance in making the energy switch. Six months after Wolf Track Energy was selected as the developer for the members of the Bemidji Solar Co-op, we’ve made some great progress.

In July 2018, we started our site survey and sales process, and we were installing by August. With help from Ryan Williams Home Services and Benson Electric Company, over 84 kilowatts of solar power have been installed! With an estimated yearly energy production of 100,000 KWh’s, some members are looking at completely offsetting their power bill. We are grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with other professionals, thankful for the work through the co-op, and look forward to the projects and opportunities to install even more solar in the next building season! Stay tuned for updates from our off grid projects, and other solar news!
