Minnesota Power Rebates for Solar
Minnesota Power’s SolarSense program provides rebates to customers to help reduce the upfront costs of installing a solar electric photovoltaic (PV) system and is provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

MN Power Rebate Example
In Duluth, an 8.4kw house* has a 4:12 roof pitch (19°) and faces 194° due southwest. A roof-mounted PV system is installed on this particular house and is rated at 8.4 kW of Dc energy. Assuming no shade loss, this house would be expected to produce 10,449 kWh of energy every single year!
The rebate that MN Power offers is $0.52/kWh produced. So, if you take 10,449kWh multiplied by 0.56, you would ultimately receive a $5,433.48 rebate. What a great deal!
*The amount of energy that solar panels can absorb, and then produce, is measured in kilowatts (kW). The amount of energy your home uses over a certain timeframe, say a month, is measured in kilowatt hours (kWh).SolarSense. To learn more, click on Program Details.
