Heat pump installer
Heating and cooling your home or business takes a lot of energy. Why not make that process more efficient?
Wolf Track Energy is an air-source heat pump installer that can help keep your space comfortable while staying energy efficient.
Despite the name, heat pumps both heat and cool — and they do it more efficiently than gas sources. Using an outdoor condenser unit and head units inside the building, these systems don’t need ducts to move hot air inside during the winter and outside during the summer. These ductless systems are sometimes called “mini-splits, and they can reduce electrical usage by about 65% over electric resistance heating.
In fact, heat pumps can be 300% more efficient than gas furnaces.
These kinds of systems are becoming increasingly popular thanks to new incentives available for installation. And some units are now rated for the frigid temperatures that we experience in the Northland every year.
As solar installers, we’ve already helped hundreds of people power their lives with renewable energy. Now we’re helping them make their homes and businesses more energy efficient as a heat pump installer.

Use rebates to lower your project costs
New government incentives will help homeowners save money when they install an air source heat pump.
The federal government offers a 30% tax credit for installing ducted or non-ducted heat pumps, which is capped at $2,000. This tax credit was boosted thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act, which was passed in 2022.
The state of Minnesota is also currently developing a rebate program for heat pump installation. Through that program, homeowners could earn a rebate of up to $4,000 for installing a heat pump.
